Italy Import Wheel Cover
In October, Lysander Shipping assisted our Korean partners with an import into Leghorn, Italy. The cargo was shipped via RORO vessel from Masan, Korea on 1 x 40’Mafi trailer, measuring 8.32 x 3.73 x 3.25m and weighed 45,889kgs.
Our Genoa office had prepared the documents for the exceptional road permits within 4 weeks, which was a difficult feat given the current situation in Italy regarding highways agencies and heavy cargo transit.
Unfortunately due to an unexpected roadblock on the night of the scheduled delivery the haulier was delayed, but we were able to find another solution to meet the customers deadline and ensure there were no additional costs for crane hire.
In logistics, sometimes circumstances are out of your control, but as a project forwarder we always strive to find solutions to these challenges and Lysander was able to meet the customers expectations.
