As the global pandemic of COVID-19 continues to cause chaos and disruption throughout the world, Lysander Shipping have maintained our high levels of customer service and risen to the challenges being faced during this turbulent time.
In August 2020, we arranged a shipment of Laser Welding Machinery from Hamburg to Busan for a power plant project in Korea for one of our Korean customers.
The break bulk cargo measured a staggering total of over 100 tonne in 2 wooden cases (1 @ 963 x 445 x 269 / 46,120kgs and 1 @ 1080 x 447 x 394cm / 66,930kgs).
Despite the shortage of local haulage, essential road permits required and increased health and safety restrictions at warehouses, the oversize cargo met its target schedule on board CMA CGM Georg Forster after being transferred from mafi trailers at portside to a bed of flat rack containers on board the vessel.
